Obituary

Adalberto V. Cavazos was born on April 23, 1934 in Progreso, TX to the late Primitvo Cavazos and Francisca Villarreal.  He was the oldest of 9 children.  Adalberto proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army.   He was a Heavy Artillery Rifleman in Germany on active duty for 2-years and 5-years years in the Reserves.  Adalberto worked as a truck driver, farm laborer / ranch foreman for many years until his retirement.  Some of the farming companies he worked for were United Packing in Sanger and Poindexter Nut Company in Selma.

He married the love of his life Juanita Leija on December 13, 1959.  They were happily married for 61 years.  Adalberto is survived by his wife Juanita, children Virginia (George) Landeros of Fresno, Maria Elena (Anthony) Sandoval of Fresno, Maria Irene (Mike) Aranda of Selma and Ricardo (Rachel) Cavazos of Selma. Ten grandchildren, Adam and Tatiana Landeros, Michael and Marc Sandoval, Nicholas, Justice and Cierra Aranda.  Anastasia and Breanna Cavazos, Chryssandra Surratt.   Seven great grandchildren, Jadyn Hurtado, Sailor Sandoval, Roger III, Rowan and Royce Garcia, Summer-Marie and Jacklynn Surratt.

Six siblings Adela Zuniga, Estella (Pablo)  Castaneda Reinaldo Cavazos of Weslaco, TX and Manuel (Ofelia) Cavazos of Erhenburg, AZ.  Preceded in death by his siblings Viola, Ricardo, Irene Cavazos and Elia Mirelez.

Dad, You fought so hard but God needed you.  Please watch over us from Heaven… You will forever be Loved and Missed.  You were the BEST HUSBAND, FATHER, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.
