Anna
Gougasian
January 22, 1940 – August 26, 2025
Anna (Kinoian) Gougasian, a gentle soul known for her kind and giving nature, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 85 on August 26, 2025 after a brief illness.
Anna was born January 22, 1940 in Attleboro, MA to Armenian immigrant parents. She graduated from Fresno High School, attended Fresno State College and worked as a Dental Assistant before getting married and being a stay at home Mom until her girls were grown and she went back to work for many years as a part-time Merchandiser for Kimberly Clark Corporation, a job she loved and excelled at because of her friendly, warm nature.
Anna was a shining light to all that had the privilege of knowing her. She was an amazing cook, had a beautiful smile, a huge heart, and was there for anyone that needed a shoulder to cry on.
To have known Anna was to have loved her and her passing has left a huge void in the hearts of her family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by her kindness.
Anna is survived by her daughter Kim Holguin, son-in-law Gil Holguin, beloved granddaughter Claire Holguin and daughter Karin Gougasian, whom she continued to care for up until her last breath. She also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and neighbors that are like family.
Preceding her in death were her parents Haigaz and Mary Kinoian, her brother George Kinoian, and the love of her life, Jim Hall.
A graveside service will be held to honor Anna's memory on September 8, 2025 at 10:00am at the Masis Ararat Armenian Cemetery located at 250 N Hughes, Fresno 93706.
Donations may be made in Anna's memory to the Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School, Holy Trinity Armenian Church, or by paying it forward and doing something nice for someone as Anna was so known for.
May Anna's memory be a blessing and may we carry on her legacy of love and compassion in how we treat others.
"Love you back," Mom. Always.
