Mrs. Arminé Melidonian, 75, passed away peacefully in her home on June 12, 2025.

Arminé was born in Beirut, Lebanon, on January 19, 1950. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, and worked many years as a proof-reader and assistant in her family's printing press before moving to Fresno in 1987.

In Fresno, she married, had two children, and continued working, caring for her family, completing her high school education at Fresno Adult School, and finally receiving an Associate of Science in Food Service Management from Fresno City College. Before retiring in 2016, she worked over 10 years in food service at Fresno Unified, where she loved cooking and serving children in their schools. She ended her career as a kitchen manager, a job that she loved.

She was very grateful and proud to have come to the United States and been able to fulfill her dreams of having a family, completing her education, and giving back to her community. She faced many hardships and difficulties in life with courage, strength, and grace. She loved to tell stories, to make jokes, to make people happy and to make them laugh. She loved God, nature, languages, and learning. She loved her family most dearly as well.

Arminé is survived by her husband, Assadour, her children, Armen and Leah, and her two grandchildren. She is very loved and is greatly missed. She will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
