Obituary

Armon Irene Boghosian

October 4, 1925 - June 3, 2021
Armon Irene (Gahvejian) Boghosian was born October 4, 1925 to Armenian immigrants
Mugrdich and Vasilouhy (Ohanesian) Gahvejian. Armon was one of 7 children, 5 girls and 2
boys. The family moved from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Fresno, California where their lives
were centered around work, faith, and family.

Armon married Paul Boghosian during WWII in St. Gregory Armenian Church in Fowler. She
supported Paul in all his endeavors from packing tomatoes to working on the sorting line at the
raisin plant. They welcomed sons Nicholas in 1947 and Philip in 1953. Armon delighted in
making a home and caring for her family. She was a great cook and loved to entertain. Their
home was always full of family, friends, food, and fun.

Armon was very active in St. Gregory Church all her life and a member of the Ladies Society.
She loved her church family dearly and all the times they shared together over the years. Her
home was always open to them and her neighbors where they would often gather in the
afternoon for Armenian coffee.

Armon and Paul loved to travel almost as much as they loved their families. Each year they
would travel to the east coast to visit their cousins. They also traveled to Las Vegas, Hawaii,
Russia, Europe, and Caribbean.
After Paul passed away, Armon moved in with his mother, Oghda, to care for her until she also
departed in 2009.

Armon was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul, her parents, her sisters Siren
Esajian, Claire Krikorian, Helen Minasian and Patt Potigian, her brother Jack, and her brothers
and sisters-in-law. Also, preceding Armon were Paul's mother, Oghda, his brother Peter, his
sisters Irene Choboian and Altoon Mooradian.

She will be greatly missed by her sons Nicholas Boghosian (Nancy), and Philip Boghosian,
grandson Darren (Jaclyn), great-grandsons Alec, Cole and Jackson Boghosian, her brother John
Gahvejian, and many nieces and nephews.

Arman's family would like to thank Narine Khachatryan and Arev Poghosyan for their many
years of devoted caregiving service first to Oghda and then to Armon. Thank you, Alex Aguilera,
for the care he provided to Paul and Armon following Paul's illness. Thanks also to Dr. Stephen
Chooljian and The California Armenian Home.
