Barbara Cathy Baker, unexpectedly passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by love. Born on May 24th, 1958 in Fresno CA, Barbara lived a life defined by kindness and strength. After many years of working in the restaurant supply business, Barbara and her husband JR of 37 years, would spend most of their time freshwater fishing from the banks or in one of many fishing boats they acquired over the years. Barbara was one of a kind. She found joy in life's simple moments: The solace joy in the peaceful serenity of the water while fishing with JR , family gatherings, spending time with friends, and caring for her three beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Midge Sahakian, brother David Sahakian, and husband Everett "JR" Baker; also survived by cousins, aunts and uncles, many other family members, and close friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Though her time with us feels far too short, Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity. Her spirit will live on in the lives she touched. Rest in peace dear Barbara.
