Barbara Marie Di Filippo passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, surrounded by family leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service. She was born on January 1, 1941, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, and raised in Buffalo, New York. She later moved to Anaheim, California, where she graduated from Anaheim High School and began her lifelong calling in nursing, earning her Registered Nurse license in 1961. That same year, she met the love of her life, Joe Di Filippo. They married in 1962 and built a devoted family together, raising four children in Fresno, California. Barbara dedicated herself fully to her family before returning to nursing, where her passion for patient care and leadership flourished. She went on to serve more than three decades at Beverly Manor Skilled Nursing Facility, including 24 years as Director of Nurses. In recognition of her exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence, she was honored as the California Association of Health Facilities Nurse of the Year in 2008. Barbara will be remembered for her intelligence, strength, and unwavering kindness, as well as the countless lives she touched through her care and mentorship. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe; her children Joseph, Gina, Jim, and John and their spouses, her seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her brother Victor; and many extended family members and friends who will carry her memory forward.

Services scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th at 10am, at Saint Anthony's of Padua
