Barbara Louise Nagel
October 22, 1932 – April 6, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara "Barb" Louise Nagel, who left us the evening of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 after a short Non – Covid illness.

Barb was born on October 22, 1932 in Los Angeles California and moved back to Fresno in her early years, living in Fresno for over 80 years. Raised by her Grandmother and Aunts, Barb attended Hamilton, Fresno High and City College. As a young adult she worked many years for Doctor Mon Pere an Ear, Nose, and Throat Dr. in the Tower District. While working Barb met the love of her life Samuel "Sam" Nagel. Sam and Barb were married for 50 years. They lived a very happy life in a house by Christmas Tree Lane with many different Cats and Dogs through the years. Sam passed away in 2008. They were both very fond of all animals. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family and her 2 cats Chloe and Black Kitty. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Holloway, Grandparents Frank and Claudine Berine, and husband Samuel Nagel. Also her 2 Aunts, who helped raise her, Josephine Berine and Eda Beene.

She is survived by her Caregiver and Cousin Joann Patton, her Fresno relatives, Cousin Angela Winter and her 3 children, Avery, Abella, and Anthony. Step-Daughters Carolyn Schreiner from Idaho and Sandy Foss from Arizona. Grandchildren Melissa Ciavolino and Carol Frazer.

The family would like to thank neighbors Dan and Mary Payne and Caregiver and friend Linda Conde for their loving and unwavering support. The family also thanks Doctors Navdeep and Gurjiwan Gill and Compassionate Care Nurse and Physical Therapist Chandra and Todd.

Her family requests in lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's honor may be made to Miss Winkle Pet Adoption Center.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 N Teilman Ave, Fresno, California at 10:00 A.M., May 6, 2022.  This is where both Barb and Sam will be laid to rest.
