Obituary

Beatrice Rivera (Tia Bea) was born on January 13, 1949, in Hanford, California. She united with the Lord
on November 26, 2024.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, Eusevio and Esther Rivera, siblings: Tony, Edward,
Daniel, Marion Balcazar, Nadine Diaz, nephews: Benny Jr. Gastelo, Daniel John Jr. Rivera, Raul Jr.
Contreras, great niece: Elena Gastelo, great nephew: Anthony Gastelo, and great-great nephew:
Nathanial Rivera. Beatrice is survived by her siblings: Cruz Gastelo, Arthur (Socorro) Rivera, Esther
(Stephen) Gardner, BarbaraJean Sheldon, God Son, Luke Daniel Delgado, her nieces and nephews:
Yolanda (Merlin) Iden, Sarah Gonzales, Gabriel Gastelo, Raynaldo Gastelo, Sarah (Pete) Navarro,
Edward John Rivera, Carol Balcazar, Monica (Robert) Ditto, Matthew Diaz, Arthur Eusevio Rivera, Ana
Rivera, Angela Delgado, Ashlin (Sandy) Mattos, and three surviving generations of great nieces and
nephews.
Beatrice was a friendly and popular young lady, graduating from Hanford High School in 1968.
Beatrice's hobbies included jogging, swimming, volleyball, tennis, needle point, reading, and listening to
music. Beatrice relocated from the San Joaquin Valley to Southern California where she resided for 35
years. The diverse cultures found in Southern California gave Beatrice such delight and she loved living
among them. Beatrice attended Long Beach City College majoring in Import/Exports where she was
named to the Dean List and was a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma. She worked at Denny's restaurant in
Long Beach and enjoyed her co-workers and serving her guests. On her off time, Beatrice enjoyed
spending time on the beach and was always excited to invite family to share time with her on the beach
when they visited! In 2015 Beatrice relocated to the San Joaquin Valley residing in Fresno, California.
Living in Fresno, during the last chapter of her life, gave her the opportunity to enjoy family birthdays,
reunions, holidays and special gatherings.
Beatrice's departure generated many blessings among the family members that were blessed to be with
her when she was called home. The family wishes to express gratitude to the medical team at Fresno
Community Regional Medical Center for their outstanding and caring professionalism. The care they
provided will always be appreciated.
Beatrice (Tia Bea) will be deeply missed by her family and friends. May our faithful Father in Heaven
hold her in his merciful grace, and she forever rest peacefully in Heaven.
Beatrice's graveside interment will be held on Friday, January 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Calvary
Cemetery, 11680 S. 10th Ave., Hanford, CA 93230. A celebration of life receptions will follow.
