Bernadine Sue “Deanie” Johnson

June 2, 1942 – October 14, 2026

Bernadine Sue “Deanie” Johnson, 84, of Fresno, California, went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories.

Deanie was born on June 2, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On August 11, 1958, she married the love of her life, Ronald Leon Johnson. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion to one another. They shared 52 years of marriage before Ronald's passing in December 2010.

A devoted homemaker, Deanie dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Through the years, she was a constant source of love, comfort, and strength to those fortunate enough to call her family.

Deanie was a woman of deep Christian faith. Rooted in her Pentecostal beliefs, she loved Jesus and carried her faith with her throughout her life. Her love for the Lord was an important part of who she was, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace in His presence. Deanie had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. She believed in showing her love by filling bellies, and family and friends will always remember that no one ever left her home hungry.

Deanie was the loving mother of five children: Ronald Leon Johnson Jr. (Diane), Rhonda Sue LeBar, Susan Kay Johnson (Dennis), Janet Leigh Wilson (Gary), and Justin Lee Johnson, all of Fresno, California.

She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren: Marty, Brandon, and Mark LeBar; Jennifer Swanton; Christopher and Jonathan Wilson; Breanne Haro; and Ellie, Noel, and Nicholas Johnson. She was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, who brought even more love and joy into her life. Deanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Leon Johnson Sr.; her son, Ronald Leon Johnson Jr.; and her daughter, Rhonda Sue LeBar.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and although her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

Her greatest legacy will always be the family she loved so dearly.
