Obituary

Brian Michael Hansen, 80, of Fresno, California, passed away on January 5, 2024 with his wife Donna by his side.

Brian was born on June 21, 1943 to Ralph and Charlotte Hansen in Bellevue, Nebraska where he went to a little red, one room school house from first to eighth grade. He then went to Bellevue High School where he was in the school choir and made lifelong friends. After he graduated from high school in 1961, he made his way to California where he got his degree in accounting and business administration at Fresno City College and briefly attended Fresno State University.

In 1970, Brian met Donna while he was working at Ollenberger's Mens Store in Fresno. After 2 years of dating, they married in 1972 at the Beulah United Methodist Church in Kerman, Ca where Brian was baptized and became a member. They attended the church until it closed in 2020 and then Brian joined the Ark Christian Fellowship Church. They have 2 daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie. Jennifer is married to Dennis Andrews and they have 3 children, Blaine, Broden and Brynna. Stephanie is engaged to Ben Wallace.

After his degree in accounting, he started working for Crocker Bank in Lompoc as an Operations Officer, where Brian learned how to BBQ Santa Maria tri-tip, his specialty! He then transferred to Lemoore, and then relocated to Fresno with Crocker as a Bank Auditor. He retired from Wells Fargo as a Loan Officer after being in the banking industry for over 25 years but his banking career actually started in Omaha, at the National Bank where he worked while going to high school.

Brian has always had a love for photography, the Nebraska Cornhuskers football, music, singing, whether it be with the choir at church or with his girls, traveling with his family, going to NASCAR races and his strong faith in God. He was also involved with the Fresno Numismatic Society and Garden of the Sun, Westerners International.

Brian was preceeded in death by his mother, father, brother and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Jennifer (husband Dennis) and Stephanie (fiancée Ben); grandchildren, Blaine, Broden and Brynna; sisters Diane Hansen and Michelle Wise-Simpson along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

A private church service will be held in Fresno.

A Celebration of Life for everyone to attend will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Moravia Winery at 3620 N Bishop Ave, Fresno CA 93723 from 12pm to 4pm.
