Charles Castillo, 83, of Fresno California, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. Charles was born to Mariano and Lilia Castillo. He joined brother Rudy, sisters Marianne and Angie.

He was a devoted husband to Adeline for over 63 years, beloved father to son Carlos, who preceded him death in 2021, and daughter Yvonne.

Charles was a truck driver for over twenty-five years. Later in his career, he joined the California department of corrections in 1988, where he retired from in 2000. He was especially proud of his time serving as a peace officer. During his time at CDC, he was known as a committed hard worker with a cheerful nature. Charles also served in the Navy where he attended meteorology school. He later graduated with an Associates degree from Fresno City College.

Charles enjoyed sports and especially going to casinos with wife Adeline. Charles loved vacationing with his family. His favorite destination was Hawaii. He also enjoyed summer vacations to Reno and Lake Tahoe.

Charles is survived by his sister, Lydia Martinez of Elk Grove California. Charles also leaves behind many nieces and nephews he was very fond of. Charles is preceded in death by his brother Rudy, sisters Marianne Ramirez, and Angie Monroy.

We will dearly miss Charles' endless joking, giving, and kind nature. He always brought joy when he entered a room. Charles was a huge animal lover. Love he bestowed on numerous dogs and cats.

Memorial services for Charles will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Yost & Webb funeral home at 1:00 pm.
