CONNY SUE (BLACKBURN) FERGERSON

Conny Fergerson passed away peacefully on June 13, 2021 at the age of 68 from complications from a heart attack.

Conny, graduated from Moorpark High School in 1970.  She married her high school sweetheart, first and true love and friend, Gary Lee Fergerson (deceased) late in life on October 12, 2002, after they reconnected.  Conny had last worked for Fresno Irrigation District (FID) for 13 years, until she retired in 2019 and over the last 6 months was working for (FID) part-time.

Conny is survived by her father, Robert L. Blackburn, sister, Kathy A. Blackburn and (spouse) Chris, and two sons, Robert Ordas and John Ordas.  Conny came from a large family having 11 aunts and uncles and spouses, and many cousins, who over the years were an important part of her family.  Conny enjoyed camping, and water skiing growing up.  She was a wonderful cook, and seamstress and in school became the teacher's assistant and advised to teach due to her expertise in both areas.

Conny, will be laid to rest at a family graveside service next to her husband, Gary, at Chowchilla Memorial Cemetery on July 23, 2021.  The family and close friends will then celebrate Conny and Gary at a "Celebration of Life" get together after.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations go to the American Heart Association and/or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.
