Darrik Joseph Graef
1963 -  2024

Darrik Joseph Graef left to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 61 on May 8, 2024 surrounded by his family and friends following a long battle with stage four cancer.

Darrik is survived by his wife, Anita; his children, Adrianne, Nicole, Korey, Tyler, Katie, Aaron and Ashlie; his grandchildren, Allana (20), Hannah (9), Aniston (8), Charlotte (6), Cooper (4), RaeLynn (3), Cayden (1) and Emerson (6m); his brothers Doug, Darrel and Darren; and his mother, Betty. Darrik was born in Fremont, CA on March 13, 1963 to Merv and Betty Graef. He graduated from Kerman High School in 1981 where he met his future wife and love of his life, Anita. They married on April 9, 1989 and shared four beautiful children. He retired from the Fresno Police Department in 2021 after 24 years of service, doing a job he loved and then shared his experience with students as a teacher at Washington Union High School - Law & Justice Institute.

Darrik was a devoted husband and father, but his favorite title was Papa. He loved making people laugh, spending time with his family and friends, and sharing his love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on May 25, 2024 at Northpointe Community Church - Milburn Campus (4625 W. Palo Alto) at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to a scholarship fund in his honor: Contribute Here
