David Evans, 69, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, following a brief illness, with his wife by his side. He was born in Fresno on October 22, 1955, to Stanley and Laverne Evans.

He attended McLane High School and graduated in 1974. He worked for a carpet cleaning company and in 1980 opened his own carpet cleaning business. Due to health reasons David retired in the mid 2000's.

He enjoyed bowling and riding motorcycles. He met Cindy in August 1980 during a bowling league and they were married in May 1981. Both were avid bowlers and played in summer and winter leagues for many years and won several trophies. Their team consisted of 4 players, Debbie, Craig, Cindy and Dave and their team name was DC Rascals.

He was fond of his sheltie dogs and pet cats and loved sports. His favorite sports to watch were Nascar racing, drag racing, baseball and football. Dave was a San Francisco Giants and 49er fan, and Cindy got him to like the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Laverne Evans, his uncle Vernie Dodson and grandparents, Rose and Tom Jernigan.

David is survived by his wife Cindy, of 43 years; his sister Connie Batti and her husband Steven; his nephew Larry Rice and his wife Angie; and their children, great niece Loren, and great nephews Thomas and Evan.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife Cindy.

Visitation will be held on Friday January 10, 2025 from 8:00am to 9:30am at Yost and Webb Chapel, 1002 T Street,  Fresno, CA 93721.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday January 10, 2025 at 10:00am at Masis Ararat Cemetery, 250 N Hughes, Fresno, CA 93706.
