David Eugene Martinez

David Eugene Martinez was born on February 20, 1955, in Fresno, California and was called home on February 16, 2023. He was 67 years old.

No services will be held per David's request. The family is planning a celebration of life in his honor; however, this will be a private event.

David was very much a free spirit and loved his family and friends deeply. He was a roofer by trade but was quite the cook, mechanic, and carpenter.

David loved being outdoors. He also loved watching football with family and friends especially when his Forty-Niners were playing. What David loved most was cooking for others. You could always find him in the kitchen or in front of a BBQ grill. He was most famous for his BBQ tri-tips.

David will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Angela Marquez and Andres Martinez. As well as his brother Rudy Corrales and sister Gloria Meedel.

He is survived by his son David Martinez as well as his siblings Victor Corrales, Marge Tomlinson, Larry Corrales, Rita Hepner, Steve Corrales, Christina Acosta, Stella Nicacio, and Alice Bain. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as his great nieces and nephews. Including many others who knew and loved him.

The family would also like to thank Eloisa Vasquez for caring for David during his illness.
