Dean Leo Sigle, 92, of Fresno Ca passed away September 22 nd , peacefully with family at his bedside.Dean was born in Hayes, Kansas on January 12, 1930, to Paul and Jettalea Sigle.
Dean graduated from Osborne High School in 1947, he went on to study at McPherson College.
After College, he returned home and took a job with a traveling evangelist for a year traveling the country. Soon afterward, his grandfather died, and he went to work as a Meat Cutter in Osborne, Kansas.
In December 1950, he was drafted into the Army. Scoring high enough to qualify for Counter Intelligence Corps. He soon transferred to Baltimore, San Francisco, and then on to Los Angeles.
In November 1952, Dean met Arlene on a blind date at an Alvino Rey / King Sister's concert in Pasadena, Ca. Dean and Arlene were married six months later and went on to have three children, Stephen, Gregory, and Richard. Dean and Arlene settled down in Marin County and Dean went into sales of electronic recording equipment and then industrial supplies.
Dean started his own business in Fresno, Ca on October 1 st , 1959. A business that still thrives today as Dean Industrial Enterprises.
Dean was involved in Kiwanis, the Freemasons, and the Shriners.
In addition to his parent's, he is preceded in death by his youngest son Richard. He is survived by his wife Arlene, sister Dolores, sons Stephen and Gregory and his wife Kris, grandchildren Tamara and Carlos, Curtis and his wife Megan, Kristina and Andrew, Kari and her husband Jesse, Thomas and his wife Kristina, and Shae and Katrina, great grandchildren Jonathan, Jordyn, Mason, Tristan, Trace, Lilliana, Logan, Charlotte, and Gabriella.
Services will be held at The Bridge Church on October 20th at 10:30am. With a celebration of life immediately following at Classic Catering at 625 4 th St, Clovis, Ca 93612.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital, an organization Dean felt strongly about.
