Eleanor
Saldivar
March 22, 1922 – October 28, 2022
On October 28, 2022, 100 years after birth, Our Heavenly Father took Our beautiful Queen, Eleanor Saldivar, and gave her wings. She passed away peacefully at home in Fresno CA. just the way she said she always wanted to leave this world. She lived an incredible life and we were all so blessed to have had her for so many years.
She was preceded in death by her loving Father, Secundino Padilla, her Mother, Julia Hernandez, 3 Brothers, Tony, Albert and Henry Padilla, Husband Jess Saldivar, her two Sons, Jerry and Michael Saldivar, Grandchildren, Joey Jr., Ross Gonzales, Ronnie Jones, Cindy Saldivar, Maria Saldivar, Damon Saldivar and Great Granddaughter, Haley Romo and Payton Monroe Moreno.
She is survived by her Sons, Ronnie, Jess, Joe and Rene Saldivar, Daughters Rosalinda De La Rosa, Evelyn Wada, Sylvia De La Rosa, Patricia Gutierrez and Sandra Saldivar, 37 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren, Great, Great Grandchildren and Great, Great, Great Grandchildren.
In her early years, Eleanor was with her Father and Brothers. She would often talk about her childhood years and what a wonderful Father her Dad was. She took care of her Brothers and her Father for many years and always adds that they took care of her as well. Her Father was a farmer and worked very hard for his Family and though they struggled often, she has very fond memories of her time with her Father and Brothers.
Eleanor lived a life of hard times, tough times, good times and blessed times. She had a love for the Lord that was immeasurable. She said her Rosary faithfully and prayed each and every day. Her greatest joy in life was her Family. Eleanor always had an open door and loved when her family would come stay with her. There was never a time that she didn't have something brewing on the stove, always making sure that if you were in her house, you would be fed a meal until your belly was full.
Eleanor did not know a stranger, if you were in her house, you were family. She had a genuine love for people. She always made you feel welcome in her home and instilled that in all of her Children as well. Whenever someone walked in the door, you got up and greeted them, no matter who they were. Something that lives on through all the generations.
Eleanor's life here has been a journey of journey's. She has lived far beyond anyone's hopes or dreams. She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. Through all her struggles in life, all her challenges and all her blessings she always said that the Lord has taken great care of her. She seldom wanted for anything, and always felt as long as she had a roof over her head and food on the table, she was blessed!
Losing your Mother is an emptiness like nothing ever felt before. Thank you Mom and Grandma for the memories, for the life lessons and especially for all the love you gave each and everyone of us . You will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts. This could never be goodbye, for you will remain with us always, it is so long for now and we will see you on the other side. You will always and forever be the love of our lives.
