Obituary

Evangelina "Nina" Baeza, born March 17, 1965, in Fresno, California, passed away on March 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she cherished so deeply. Born and raised in Fresno, Nina grew up in a lively home with her sisters Belen, Chris, Margie, and Louise, and her brothers Santos and Mark. Family was always at the center of her world.

Nina met the love of her life, Robert Baeza, and through him gained even more family — two sisters and five brothers who welcomed her with open arms. Together, Nina and Robert built a beautiful life rooted in loyalty, faith, and devotion. They married and raised their children: daughter Serina (with son-in-law Carlos), son Robert Jr., son Manuel, and daughter Rose, and her doggy Oreo, creating a home filled with laughter, strength, and unconditional love.

Nina's greatest joy was being a grandmother. She poured her heart into each of her grandchildren: Karmalynn, Carlos Jr., and Maryjane Vallecillo; Robert Ill, Evangelina, Francisco, Izick, Dameon, Omar, and Zaylee Baeza; Cathryn and Aalyiha Baeza; and

Aneesa and Mia Baeza-Martinez. She was also excited to welcome her soon-to-arrive great-grandbaby Eddie. If you were looking for Nina, you'd find her with her grandbabies — cheering them on, spoiling them, guiding them, and loving them fiercely. When her eldest grandson served in the military, she proudly became one of the "military moms," supporting him with all her heart.

Nina dedicated 30 years of her life to the IRS, where she built lifelong friendships and earned the respect of everyone she worked with. After retiring, she devoted herself fully to her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Nina was known for her spark — that came from a place of tenderness, her protective nature, her determination, and her deep faith in the man upstairs.

Her love for her husband, her children, and her grandchildren was unmatched. The life she created with Robert was one of a kind, and her legacy lives on in every person she touched.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
