Frances "Fran" Jean Ewert
1935 - 2024

Frances Jean Ewert was born on March 12, 1935 in Henderson, Nebraska to Henry and Pauline Regier. The family moved to Delano, California in 1939 and later moved to Dallas, Oregon where Frances graduated from Dallas High School in 1953.  She attended Pacific Bible Institute, now Fresno Pacific University, one year before returning to Oregon for several years. The family resettled in Fresno in 1955, where Fran, which she was commonly called, began her lifelong career in real estate as an escrow officer.

In 1957 Fran was united in marriage to Roland Glen Ewert.  On July 26, 2024 Glen and Fran would have celebrated 67 years of marriage.  They had two children, a daughter Denise and a son Darren.  Although Fran enjoyed her career as an escrow officer, her primary loves were her family, cooking, entertaining, interior decorating, and travel.  Glen and Fran enjoyed several trips to Europe along with several cruises. They were fond of their RV and especially enjoyed time in the Pismo Beach area with like-minded friends.

As a teenager, Fran professed her faith in Christ and was baptized. Proverb 3:5-6 was her favorite scripture, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight," which expressed her faith and commitment to her Lord and Savior.  Glen and Fran were long-term members of the North Fresno Mennonite Brethren Church, where she was an active member.  There she sang in the choir and enjoyed participating in various ministries of the church.  She retired from her escrow work in 1996, spending the last twelve years of employment with Stewart Title of Fresno.

In 2014 Fran was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, which began a ten-year battle for her mental health.  She fought this battle bravely and courageously.  Fran went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 24, 2024.

She is survived by her husband Glen of Reedley, California, daughter Denise of San Luis Obispo, CA, and sister Audrey of Santa Rosa, California.  Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Pauline Regier, and her son Darren.
