Going Home

Out through eternity my soul takes it's flight,

Lifting and climbing through God's endless light.

Onward and upward my thoughts start to flow.

As bigger and bigger my heart seems to grow.

I look all about me and there I can see,

The faces of loved ones who slept before me.

I traveled on upward, and they did the same.

To meet the Redeemer, praising His name.

Behind me I leave the sorrows of yore.

The pain and the hurts, I feel them no more.

Gone are the tears all wiped away

By the hand of the Father as we are all caught away.

In a moment we stand before a great throne.

The life giver is there, we stand not alone.

"Well done," is the greeting we hear as He stands.

To claim the redeemed from earth's distant land.
