Helen A Sahakian

November 29, 1925 - December 14, 2023

Fresno, California - Our beloved mother and grandmother, Helen A. Sahakian, passed away peacefully at the age of 98 years young, surrounded by her family.

Helen was the daughter of immigrant Armenian parents, Mannig and Vahan Andreasian. She attended Emerson Elementary School, Fresno Technical High School, and Fresno State University.

Helen met Samuel Sahakian at the Rainbow Ballroom. They married in 1950 and were blessed with two daughters. They spent a wonderful life together, traveling to Europe, entertaining with style and delicious feasts, and helped raise their grandchildren. Helen was the epitome of class, always poised and selfless, with the most kind disposition. Family meant everything to her, and she devoted herself to their happiness and well-being.

Helen was active in her church. She was a member of the choir in her earlier years and a member of the Hokijosh Ladies Aid Group. She also was a volunteer of many years for St. Agnes Guild.

Helen is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughters Paula and Christine, her granddaughter Alyssa (Guy) Haberman, her grandson Garrett (Deya) Klasen, and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church on December 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
