Jake was a lover of nature, he was often referred to as "The Mountain Man" he enjoyed the outdoors, where he spent most of his time, he was especially fond of fishing, but when he caught fish, he always returned them from whence they came and if he found wild animals near his home, he would capture them and return them to the wild.   He enjoyed camping where he could join with the tall trees he loved so much.  He loved animals and raised homing pigeons, along with other animals; he could identify most birds by sight.  He was a music lover and enjoyed music of many genres.  He enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
