James Miloyan Minas AKA Santiago age 82 born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a resident of Fresno California for 63 years wentto meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 26, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.James was the youngest of three sons born to Sarkis and Maria Minas who were Armenian immigrants to Argentina. At the age of 19 he came to the United States with his oldest brother Robert and his wife Rosa. They were brought to America with the help of loving family members whom lived in Fresno.With help from their cousins Jimmy attended night school to learn English and started his first job at Sun Best Fruit Company and then went on to work at Ace Service Tires for 10 years. In 1972 his brother Robert ask Jimmy to join him in opening a furniture store International Furniture which is still operating today after 48 years in Fresno's Tower District.As a devoted family man, Jimmy loved to be with his Wife Diana, his children and granddaughters Farrah and Lexah. He also enjoyed for many years going to Santa Cruz and Capitola with his family and friends. His favorite place though was to travel with his family to Waikiki Beach, Hawaii.Jimmy's passion in life was his yard which he took great pride in.Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diana Minas, his daughter Shaylah Vartanian and her husband Vartan, and his sonBryan Minas. He is also the beloved grandfather to his granddaughters Farrah and Lexah Vartanian as well as a Uncle to his nephew Bobby Minas and his wife Leslee and their daughters Marina and Eleni, his niece Judy Emerzian and her husband Mike and their children Andre, Alec, and Ava.Jimmy was the center of his family and he will be deeply missed. He had a unique personality and charm and left a lasting impression on everyone. He loved to live life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment.A memorial service will be held at the Pilgrim Armenian Congregational Church.3673 N.
