Jane Arlene
Sigle
June 10, 1925 – September 11, 2025
Jane Arlene Sigle, 100, of Fresno, California, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior September 11, 2025, at San Joaquin Gardens Memory Care Unit surrounded by family.
Born on June 10, 1925, in Pasadena, California to Walter and Helen MacDonald. Arlene enjoyed growing up in southern California with her younger sister Shirley, spending many enjoyable days at the beach. She attended South Santa Anita Elementary School and Woodrow Wilson Jr High. She earned her two-year degree from Pasadena Jr. Collage.
Following graduation she worked in the banking industry.
Arlene met the love of her life Dean L Sigle (a Kansas country boy) on a blind date. The two youngsters hit it off and were married six months later April 4, 1953. Together, they built a loving marriage and raised their family. Their marriage lasted 69 years until Dean's passing in 2022.
They started their family together in Mill Valley, Ca. Welcoming their first son Stephen in 1958. They then moved their growing family to Fresno. In 1959 Dean started his own family business Dean Filter and Supply Co, and 66 years later, it is still running strong. The family welcomed their second son Greg, in 1961.
With the family expanding, they found a great location with a home and shop for Dean's growing business. In November 1963, their third son, Richard, was born. With three boys to raise, it was on! Dean worked hard building the family business, relying on Arlene to hold down the fort, running the home and business at the same time. She was a strong woman with steadfast convictions.
She enjoyed gardening and had a beautiful yard. She was especially proud of her colorful Azaleas. Her cute ceramic frogs made her garden special. She spent many afternoons with her beloved grandchildren, giving them a fun place to go after school. She had a beautiful kitchen and enjoyed preparing huge meals for the Holidays.
She spent her final few years at the San Joaquin Gardens Memory Care Unit. Special thanks to Ty, whom mom always trusted. Thank You for being so caring. Although being in memory care, she always remembered her family and loved ones. She would always light up when folks came to visit.
Her passion was genealogy, and she had traced her family tree back to the mid-1600s. She spent countless hours searching for and recording family information. When one came to visit, one could rest assured, the genealogy binders were coming out along with some interesting conversations of days gone by.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dean, parents, sister Shirley, and son Richard.
Arlene is survived by her sons Steve Sigle of Fresno, Ca and Greg (Kris) Sigle of Great Falls, Mt.
