JoAnn Fay Jones passed away at the age of 81 on September 10th, 2023. She was born January 30th,1942, to Joe McDonald and Cleo Huffman in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Here she was raised before moving to Fresno, California where she lived most of her adult life. Those who knew her knew a strong woman with an incredible work ethic and compassionate heart. She cared for animals just as much as she loved her family. This love included but was not limited to dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, miniature horses, horses, cows, chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks, and of course her turtles and tortoises. JoAnn is survived by her companion of 36 years, Carlton Reeves, daughter Jody, and husband John Fankhauser, daughter Julie,
and husband Stephen Reilly, daughter Janie Natividad, daughter Joni, and husband Junior Martinez, and sister Sharon Ruminer. She is preceded in death by twin sister DeeAnn, and her husband Danny Carrico. JoAnn was driven by her love of her family, friends, and her faith. She brought joy to all her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. She will be terribly missed though we are comforted that she has known joy throughout all her years. We are blessed for having her as long as we have.
