Obituary

Judith McWilliams Frost, 79 years, passed at her home on June 25th, 2021. Her children, Paul Frost, Michelle and Tom Krenz and Lisa Frost and Jim Orlando and grandchildren Adam and Olivia Krenz, Sarah and RyanLapp, Veronica Harris, Abby and Andrew Jordan, Sean, Kiley, and Aden Frost, and great grandson Rayce Knox Lapp remember her as a nurturing and loving mother and grandmother who led by example in how to be strong, resilient, and gracious through the joys and hardships life brings.

Judy was a person of deep faith in God and people. Judy grew up and began her teaching career in Dayton Ohio. She and her husband Reverend Abner (Frosty) Frost were partners for 29 years. They started their lives together in ministry working in a migrant camp traveling between Kentucky and Florida. They were called to churches in Alexandria Kentucky, Cincinnati Ohio, Nampa Idaho and Fresno California. Judy served as an elementary educator at bothTranquility and Central Unified School Districts since moving to Fresno in the early 1980s.

In her own quiet and steadfast way Judy has touched countless hearts. She gave her full attention to each person she was with and was the most genuine listener. Her ability to remember and uplift her family and friends by acknowledging every birthday or holiday with a card, which always included a personal handwritten message in immaculate cursive, speaks to her thoughtfulness and giving spirit. Judy was a life long learner open to her own growth. She always had a new book in hand, was ready to engage in a conversation, and loved every opportunity she had to travel.

Judith had a rapid decline in health this Spring after finding out that she would be fighting cancer. If you knew Judy, you knew she was a strong force who had no intention of slowing down, still planning to jump back into her work as a reading specialist at Roosevelt Elementary School and Sunday School Teacher this Fall after going through treatments.

We know Judy has found a new home surrounded by the people she loved including her parents Paul and Eloise McWilliams, her brothers Paul Charles and David Mc Williams, and her beloved husband Frosty. Judy is survived by her dearest friend and twin sister, Nancy Faimen of Auburn, Kansas and extended relatives. The family wishes to send out their sincere gratitude to our family, church, and Roosevelt Elementary who have visited, sent cards, flowers, meals and offered their love and support in the past weeks.
