Judy Ann
Barton
July 11, 1948 – February 5, 2022
JUDY BARTON Born: July 11, 1948 Died: February 5, 2022
Judy passed away peacefully in Mercy Hospital in Merced, California. Judy was a resident of Chowchilla, CA, and a graduate of Chowchilla High School, Class of 1966. In 1988, Judy met the love of her life, Norma Christian, and they married on January 8, 2020. Judy and Norma were together for 34 years.
Judy loved the role of being the planner in life. She was a very giving, courageous, and honest person. She was not afraid to speak her mind, but spoke kindly and lovingly while doing so. Judy had a passion for animals. At the age of 10 years old, she started working with her dad doing in-home kennel services. At 16 years old, her father passed away and she took over the grooming business. She was able to give you "her own" home remedies if her clients dogs became ill. She would then call you and check in on the dog to see how it was doing. Her compassion and love was beyond beautiful. Judy was gentle and loving to her pets while grooming them. Judy and Norma began grooming together and would accept the "hard to groom" pets, while each taking their turn working their magic.
Judy also worked as a Reki Master for 25 years. She drove truck for 6 years, and it was said that she was darn good at that. She also worked as a secretary for 6 years, before returning to self employed grooming, where she ended her working career due to illness.
Judy was a beautiful person inside and out. When she spoke, you would see her piercing blue eyes and radiant smile. She was a friend to everyone, and loyal as well as protective over her family and friends.
Judy will be greatly missed by all.
Norma states.."Judy is my ride or die person, she is the light in my window that guides me home, and the rock that kept me grounded."
Judy is survived by her wife, Norma Christian; cousins, Frank Asher, Karen Asher, Delores (Larry) Bebe, Diane (John) Bebe, Steve Barton, Randy Barton, Pam (Bob) Dahlhauser, Linda Flippo, and Karen Dixon.
Services will be held on March 19, 2022, at Veteran's Park, 600 Robertson Blvd, Chowchilla, CA at 12:00 p.m. Please bring your favorite dish to share in memory of Judy.
