Judy E. Pack
November 12, 1948—December 26, 2022
Many of us have to wait nearly lifetime to live every moment to the fullest. Judy Pack started early.
She's now with her Lord, free of those health challenges that would hold her back in recent years, and living an eternal life of joy, peace, with not a pain or worry.
Judy brought a light into any room, that beautiful blonde hair leading the way, and it was more than her statuesque presence that kept you engaged. She'd be sure that everyone was recognized, often with a little something from her famous shopping junkets to Vonda's, and her questions of you said instantly that she was truly interested in you—and only you at that moment. It was a rare gift she gave freely.
Smart as a whip, Judy's beauty was more than skin deep. She had a servant attitude that led her to Chiropractic, graduating from Logan Chiropractic College, and practicing in Fresno for decades. She was known as not only Dr. Judy, but also as friend, listener, and wise counsel besides being a healer to thousands of patients together with her late husband, Dr. Ken Pack.
Ken and Judy found more than Chiropractic to make their mark and each other extremely happy. They were like a Ken & Barbie come to life, only very real and down to earth. Travel, adventure, a weekend life in San Francisco where, yes, she did her share of shopping, created a love of their lives that still brought a twinkle to Judy's eye.
Courage simply clung to Judy; you couldn't shake it. Whether it was that extraordinary will to recover in the last three years after the effects of a stroke, or her drive to be successful as a widowed businesswoman, Judy was determined not to put any excuses between her and progress. You have to credit her Faith and her regular worship at First Missions Covenant Church.
Being a tough Swede helped, surely, growing up in Kingsburg, California, daughter of Albert and Elaine Gatzka who proceeded her in death. Judy was proud of her heritage, and she wasn't shy about it. All you had to do was walk into her home of blue and yellow, a backdrop to her many collections of plates, ceramic figures, artwork, and finery from her many journeys—all in great taste and everything in its place!
She was elegant, poised and always knew what was appropriate for any occasion.
There are those left behind: brother Gary Gatzka and his wife Junko; nephew Jeff Gatzka, his wife Megan and their children Declan and Cohen, nephew Bo Gatzka, and beloved pet Benji. Along with a wide community of friends, travelling buddies, generations of patients, and Judy's entourage of helpers, caretakers, and retail associates at her favorite haunts, all of whom played a valued part in Judy's colorful 74 years.
Viewing at 9am to 10am, Friday, January 13 th , Yost & Webb Funeral Home, 1002 T Street, Fresno. Chapel Service will immediately follow at 10am until 11am. Funeral Service followed by her interment at Kingsburg Cemetery.
Remembrances can made to your favorite charity. Or, as Judy might see it, go to Vonda's, find something pretty for yourself that reminds you of your time with her, and enjoy it!
