Kathleen Marilyn Gonchoroff Wilson, 95 was born Oct. 15, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan and passed away on June 11, 2021 in Fresno, California of natural causes.
Kathleen moved with an older sister to Los Angeles, California in the 1940"s. Most of the family and her parents also came. She worked in a machine shop.
She met John Wilson at the First Baptist Church in Los Angeles and later married him on February 8, 1952. She and John lived in Los Angeles and later moved to Fresno, California in 1959. Kathleen was a homemaker since 1952.
She is survived by one son; Paul Wilson and his wife, Lee Wilson and two daughters; Marilyn Wilson and Marsha Wilson and two granddaughters; Rebecca Wilson and Beth Pommerich, four great grandchildren; Andrew Davidson, Brandon Davidson, Nathan Harding and Phoenix Harding and one great great grandson; Asher James Davidson.
Her extended surviving family are a sister in law; Bonnie Gonchoroff, two nieces; Shirley Fritz and Denise Jennings, seven nephews; Danny Gonchoroff, Mark Gonchoroff, Craig Gaut, Nick Gonchoroff, Victor Gonchoroff and Tom Gonchoroff. The latter three surviving nephews and the one niece are all scattered back East in Michigan, Virginia and Florida, as well as one niece and one nephew still residing in Fresno, California.
There will be a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery in Fresno, California on June 26, 2021 followed by a memorial reception at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
All donations may be made to the either the American Bible Society or to the First Presbyterian Church in Fresno, California.
She was a very loving, caring and sacrificial mother as well as a strong prayer warrior. We miss her physically but know where she is "In the presence of Our Lord".
