Kenneth Milton Scott age 97 entered the Church Triumphant on October 31, 2021, in Fresno, California.
Ken was born to Ruth and George Scott in Selma, Ca on February 21, 1924. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1939. He was drafted and served in WW II in the Army Air Corps, which later became the United States Air Force. It was during his service that he married Zoe Zane Schmuke on May 9, 1945. They shared life over seven decades and were married 68 years until she died in 2013.
Ken was a native of the San Joaquin Valley Bakersfield, Tulare, Kerman, Selma, Fresno, and Bretz Mill comprised locations where the vast majority of his years were spent. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and attended Fresno State. In his early adult years, he was involved in the automobile industry being part of two family-owned dealerships in Riverdale and Kerman. However, for the majority of his working life, he was a business manager for a food packaging company, an agriculture related business, and an environmental control manufacturer.
Ken was an active member of the Air Force Reserve until 1966 retiring with the rank of Major. He was an active member of the University Presbyterian Church for over 30 years serving there in a variety of roles.
Ken moved to Oklahoma in 2010 to live with his youngest son and returned to Fresno in 2016 to live with his middle son where he remained until his death.
Ken and Zoe made their home in Fresno raising their three sons. Ken is survived by his oldest son Terry and wife Anne, his middle son John and wife Barbara, his youngest son Dale and grandchildren, Tracy and Jeff, Doug and Alison, Randy and Kari, Jodi, Robert, Katie, Taylor, and Rachel and Travis and 8 great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of Ken's life was enjoyed by family and close friends.
