He met the love of his life, Darlene Sellers, and married her on June 11, 1960. Soon after they started their family of three girls along with several dogs and a cat. Through the years, they lived in San Pablo, Pleasanton, Madera and Lake Arrowhead, California.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Josephine Sewell and his brother, Richard Sewell. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Darlene Sewell, his three daughters, Darla Sewell, Rebecca (Greg) Pifer and Karlene (Tim) Smith. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Michael Cantrell, Tara Smith, Zachary Smith, Kortnee (Paul) Havland, Bobby (Cassie) Pifer and Andrea Pifer, one great grandson, Jeffery Cantrell and one great grandbaby expected in February 2022. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Charlene Sewell and eight nieces and nephews along with many friends.

Kenneth was a hardworking man and a great provider for his family. He started at the young age of 10, pulling a wagon selling oil for stoves. This was the beginning of his hardworking years. He worked for a meat butcher then went to work on an assembly line for International Harvesters. He welded and drove a truck for 10 years at Consenco in San Leandro. He also drove truck for Victor's Meat Company and then went on to drive for Bay Air Gas until he retired at 59 years of age. He retired early to work with his brother, Richard Sewell, driving a truck that hauled Richard's midget race car. He also drove a pilot truck for wide load transportation vehicles.

He had a love for music. He played the guitar and sang for several years at his home church. He was so passionate about music he involved his wife and three daughters and formed a family band. He loved making up silly songs to sing to his wife and daughters and anyone who would listen to his silly songs.

He had a love for ministry. For several years he drove a Sunday School bus and was also a youth leader, along with his wife, and was always involved with the music ministry. He was such a compassionate giver spiritually, physically and financially when it came to the needs of the church. Kenneth along with his wife always opened their home for people that were in need including family, missionaries, evangelists and college students.

He had a love for life. He loved vacationing with his family and friends, loved his several dogs and two cats, playing baseball for city leagues and church leagues. He water skied, rode motorcycles, liked to fish, loved watching his 49er's and dabbled in golf. He loved classic cars and restored a 55 Chevy, which won several 1st place trophies, was in a John Mellencamp music video and he made several longtime friends. That was his passion until 2015.

Kenneth along with his wife, moved to Lake Arrowhead, California in 2014 where he lived out the rest of his life. He will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
