Kermit Cornelius
Martin
September 25, 1942 – February 21, 2026
Kermit Cornelius Martin, age 83, of Fresno, California went to be with his Lord and Savior on the early morning of February 21, 2026. He was at home, surrounded by family and love.
Kermit was born on September 25, 1942 to Earl and Sylvia Martin in Minot, North Dakota.
Kermit married Patricia Nissley on February 26, 1964. They had 3 children Troy, Tonya, and Tiffaney.
Kermit was a farmer, a Dairy Queen manager, sign maker, auto detailer, and a truck driver. He was an avid gardener and was always very joyful at the abundant crop he could harvest. He was wise and could fix most anything and had many other interests.
Kermit and his family relocated several times living in North Dakota, Iowa, Arizona, and California.
Kermit was a man of quiet strength and unwavering faith, someone who chose his words with care and spoke only after deep reflection. When he offered wisdom, it was thoughtful, sincere, and grounded in a lifetime of discernment. Family was the heart of his life, and he poured his love, guidance, and steady presence into every moment he shared with them. He moved through the world as a gentle, steadfast light—encouraging, protecting, and leading with confidence, compassion, and grace. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves a profound emptiness. He will be deeply and tenderly missed.
