Laurel Elaine Weber

Laurel Elaine Weber was born on June 18, 1962 in Stockton, California.  She was the daughter of the late William J. Ward and the late Jean (Christensen) Ward. Laurel graduated from Calvary Baptist High School in Stockton in 1980.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from California State University, Fresno in 1988.

Laurel was employed as a Distribution Assistant with Nexus Administrators in Fresno, CA, and she worked in the Retirement Planning industry for over 20 years. Laurel was an active member of Temple Beth Israel in Fresno, and she loved her family and friends. She had a strong passion for animals, and she was a frequent dog sitter for many individuals.  She also provided volunteer service at the Valley Animal Center in Fresno.

Laurel passed away on August 22, 2022. She was the sister of the late James Farr of Pinole, CA and Susan House of Salem, OR. Laurel is also survived by her sister-in-law, Juliana Farr, her brother-in-law, Robert House, her nephews Gregory Farr, Brandon Farr, and David House, her niece Elizabeth (House) Lowden, and many relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held in-person and via Zoom at Temple Beth Israel Fresno on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the Valley Animal Center or the Animal Compassion Team, both located in Fresno, CA, or Marley's Mutts Dog Rescue, in Tehachapi, CA.
