It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lila Kumar, who left us on May 17, 2026, at the age of 85. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born on February 28, 1941, in India, Lila was known for her warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her generous spirit, quick wit, and the kind of smile that made everyone feel at home.

She was a woman of great love, faith, and joy. Whether at home, at church, or surrounded by her community, Lila gave herself fully to the people around her. She will be remembered for her love of music, her delight in every family gathering, her playful spirit, and the values of kindness and grace she passed on to her daughters.

She is survived by her daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter, and sister, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Lila Kumar’s life will be held on June 5 at 11:00am, at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 3973 N. Cedar Avenue, Fresno, CA 93726. Friends and family are welcome to join us as we say goodbye to a truly remarkable woman.
