Obituary

Mr. L M Daniels was called to peaceful rest on December 20, 2021.  L M was born in Estelle, Mississippi on August 3, 1942, to Mary Pitts and Sidney Daniels. LM received his early education in Leland, Mississippi.  LM and his wife Hattie were married on July 21, 1963, in Leland, Mississippi, and to this union five beautiful children were born.  LM moved his family to Fresno, CA in 1970. In 1973 the family moved to San Joaquin. In 1979 God blessed LM to purchase a home, at which time he moved his family back to Fresno, CA. On February 26, 1984, LM received The Holy Ghost at Abundant Life Christian Assembly Church, where he served in the position as Deacon. His Pastor is Kelvin House. LM is the father of six beautiful children:  Louis (deceased) (Mother, Desta Mae); LM, Jr., James, Carolyn, Stanley and Mary (Mother, Hattie Pearl). He has 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren . LM's first passion was going deer hunting in Colorado in November; his second passion was going to the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, and his third passion was playing his guitar in his leisure time for many decades. He met the love of his life on August 15, 2002, Dianne Barbin, better known as his "Buttercup."  Dianne came to this relationship with her four wonderful children (Channon, James, Shavon, and Sean).  "I feel like they are my children, too," stated LM. LM worked for Schramm Ranch, Inc. for 18 years.  LM spoke with pride when he talked about building things with his hands and mind.  His employer bought a service truck with only the wheels and cab.  LM built a truck bed, four tanks and other accessories.  His pride escalated when he built a turntable for his employer's six-passenger's airplane. They had to push the airplane in the shed backward and push it out when the need arrived to use it.  His employer told LM he needed something to make it easy to come and go without the hassle of pushing and pulling the airplane in and out of the hangar.  LM built a turntable in the floor of the hangar.  The employer could drive in and turn around in the hangar and drive out on the runway. His employer had business people coming from all over, especially from Texas, to see LM's turntable.  You know LM never got credit for that invention!   In 1971-1973 he attended Auto Mechanic and Blue Print Vocational School at Edison High School. He later attended Hydraulic and Auto Air-Condition Vocational School.  He has mastered welding, blue print, auto mechanic and carpentry. He was self-employed as a welder and auto mechanic. LM was a husband, partner, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  He was full of wisdom and was a joyful inspiration and advisor to all whom he encountered.

LM was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Daniels and Mary Pitts, Louis "Danny Boy (his son)", his brother, Willie Westonand Richard Lewis and sisters, Murlene Jenkins and Catherin Jenkins.  He leaves to cherish his memories Hattie Pearl (ex wife), his sons, LM Daniels, James, and Stanley, his daughters, Carolyn and Mary(Carlos) from Fresno, CA, Margaret G. Mayes-Stuart

(Buddy)step-daughter from Nashville, TN, OC Thomas(brother) from Modesto, CA, Mary Louise Jordan (sister) Greenville, MS, Bertha Pitts-Winston (sister) from Alhambra, CA, Christine Thomas-Smith (sister) from Fresno, CA, and Corine Thomas-Harris (sister) from Oakland, CA, his brother-in-law, Robert L.
