Loretta Jane Moran, 68, of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1957, in Hanford, California.

Loretta was a proud alumna of Fresno State University and later earned her master's degree from the University of Phoenix. She dedicated her career to serving children and families as a CPS social worker with Fresno County. Her compassion, strength, and determination left an imprint on countless lives throughout her years of service.

She was known for her determination, goal-oriented spirit, strong willed feisty personality and fierce love for the people she held dear.

Loretta found joy in life's simple pleasures — spending time with her family, painting by numbers, coloring and can't forget how much she loved watching reality tv and westerns. But above all, nothing lit up her world more than her grandchildren. To them, she was a source of endless love, often reminding them, "I love you forever and a day," and sending them to bed with, "Sleep with the angels."

She is survived by her two sons, one daughter, her cherished grandchildren, her three sisters, and her brother. She will be remembered for her feisty personality, her huge heart, and the unconditional love she poured into her family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Yost & Webb, 1002 T Street, Fresno, CA 93721. A reception will follow at the FPOA Hall, 994 N. Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, CA 93728.

Loretta's legacy of love, strength, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
