Mario was born on May 7, 1927 and raised in Berkeley, Ca. He was a proud graduate of University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Business. Mario served his country in the United States Navy (1945-46) and the Naval Reserves (1946-59). He was employed with State Compensation Insurance Fund from 1951 until his retirement as the Fresno District Manager in 1995. He was an active member with the East Fresno Kiwanis for over 35 years. Mario served as a Eucharistic Minister at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and for many years the head usher at Sunday's 6:00 p.m. mass. He met the love of his life Sue in 1951 and they married in 1954, together they raised seven children. Mario is predeceased by his loving wife Sue; his son David; and his daughter Pamela. He will be deeply missed by his children, Daniel of Santa Barbara, Ca., Peter and his wife Peggy of Sylmar, Ca., Michael and his wife Christian of Clovis, Ca., Steven and his wife Kelly, and Paul and his wife Norma of Fresno. Lovingly known as Grandpa Mario, he also leaves behind his grandchildren, John and his wife Elizabeth, Brian, Gina, Angela and Tristen; and two step-grandchildren, Phillip and Marcie. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (Bullard and Maroa in Fresno) at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donations be made in Mario's honor to the David A.
