Martha Susan
Castro
January 19, 1950 – November 15, 2025
Martha Susan Castro, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Clovis, California. Born on January 19, 1950, Martha lived a life shaped by deep faith, quiet strength, and a creative spirit that brightened the lives of all who knew her.
A devoted Catholic, Martha walked through life with a steady and wholehearted trust in God. Her faith was not only her anchor, but her compass which guided her choices, sustained her spirit, and gave shape to her deepest hopes. The rosary rarely left her hands, and her daily prayers became a quiet ministry of love for her family, friends, and anyone in need of grace. In every joy and every hardship, she turned to the Lord with unwavering belief, finding peace in His presence and strength in His promise.
Martha carried with her a rare creative light. Through drawing and watercolor, she revealed the beauty she saw in the world with gentle scenes, tender colors, and moments of stillness that reflected the kindness of her heart. Her artwork was more than a hobby; it was a direct reflection of her very soul, each stroke imbued with patience, imagination, and quiet reverence for God's creation. She shared her gift freely, leaving behind pieces of art that now serve as cherished reminders of her warmth, her grace, and the way she found wonder in the simple things.
She is survived by her former husband and lifelong best friend, John Castro; her son Paul Castro and daughter-in-law Kelly Castro; her daughter Anna Castro and fiancé Steve Carrillo; and her son Michael Castro; her 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters whom she loved, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will always cherish her memory.
Martha will be laid to rest near her beloved oldest son, Byron Castro, who preceded her in death, and alongside her loving parents, Epifanio and Lupe Hernandez.

"She had a gentle way of making the world more beautiful — through her art, her faith, and the love she shared."
