Allen
February 24, 1941 – May 4, 2021
Mary Lou (Hart) Allen was born on February 24, 1941 to Ray and Georgia Hart in Prague Oklahoma, she was one of 5 daughters. She passed away peacefully on May 4, 2021 in Fresno CA.
In 1955 the Hart family moved to Inglewood CA where Mary would graduate high school. In 1958 she married the love of her life Teddy Allen. In 1965 they moved to Simi Valley CA where they would raise their three daughters, Pamela, Kamela and Tamela.
Mary worked in several vocations and eventually graduated from Moorpark College with an AA degree in Early Childhood Development. She loved children and opened a family daycare/preschool in their home. For 26 years she cared for many, many children helping to prepare them for kindergarten.
In 1995 Mary and Teddy retired to Kingsburg CA. Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Kaylee and Jessica. She loved going to their school and sporting events and eventually seeing them get married and have their own children.
Mary had countless friends whose lives she touched in so many loving and caring ways. Her house was always open to anyone in need. She was always first to offer a meal to someone in need, hold your hand and pray with you through a difficult time or encourage and celebrate life's ups and downs with you.
Everyone who knew her loved her and felt blessed to call her a friend. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years Teddy, her daughter Tammy, her parents and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela and husband Todd Severson, Kamela and husband Ron Strang.
