Obituary

Mary June Ward

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Great-Great Grandmother

10/29/1930 – 01/20/2024

Mary was the most giving person ever known and so many of you would agree. She would help anyone if she could. From babysitting grandkids and providing rides to and from school to dropping everything to provide moral support to anyone that needed it.

Mary was born on October 29th, 1930 in Grayson, MO. She was the 4th child of Ted Donahue and Patsy Donahue. Her brothers are Louis Donahue, Robert Donahue, and Dwaine Donahue.

Her childhood was spent during the depression so she was sent to live with her grandparents on/off. Due to the fact that she had three older brothers, she was quite the tom boy and man o man did she hold her own. At least that's how she always told it. She developed her stubborn nature because of this.

She spent most of her career at Loma Linda School District as a cafeteria attendant. She was also Den Mother with the Boy scouts while raising her two sons. She spoke often and told stories of the hikes and trails they hiked and memories they made as a family with her sons.

She was married twice, Her first marriage was to Marvin Talbert Sr. to which she had her sons, Terry Talbert and Marvin Talbert Jr.

Her second marriage was to John Ward to which she had her one and only daughter, Patti Bishop. With this marriage she also became a step mother to John Ward and Greg Ward.

Mary spent most of her time reading books, crocheting, and sewing and was known for making blankets. Mary was passionate about her family. She was a fierce momma bear and she hated for any of her family to struggle. She was strong in her convictions and her strong stubborn nature has been passed down to her children and will live on for many generations.
