1921 - 2023
MAXINE H. EASLEY, 101 years old, born to Claude Clarence Nider and Matilda Sofie Wolters of Diller, Nebraska on 10/02/1921 as their first child of eight! On March 26th 2023 she went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ while being surrounded at home, by her famililies loving arms and listening to her favorite hymns!
She is survived by her son, Terrance L. Easley and his wife Robin G. Easley, their son Cody L. Easley and his wife Rubi Easley and their children, son Gavin L. Easley and daughter Ava R. Easley. Jacob A. Goodall called Maxine grandma as did his children , son Jordan A. Goodall and daughter, Jenna A. Goodall. She is survived also by her three remaining siblings, sister Arleen Owen, Brother Dale Nider and her sister Marilyn and her husband Al Snider. There are also so many nieces and nephews as well as their children and grandchildren who will be missing Maxine and her always timely greetings of birthday and anniversary cards and congratulations to all family members! She never missed anyone as her birthday book was always updated. A special thank you to Gary and Lynette Penny who helped me so much with Maxine's hospice journey with their sincere and loving suppost. Hinds Hospice was always there to provide loving support and comfort for which we are very grateful!
Maxine was a continual supporter of her church, Our Savior's Lutheran Church for over 40 years or more. As a bookkeeper, as well as an all round servant to her Lord and Savior, Maxine was always there to help whomever was in need! Her special family of friends at our Savior's and in the community meant so much to her and she spoke of them often in a loving manner.
Maxine worked for Fresno Unified School District at the book depository as Head Secretary for over 21 years. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing, baking and always having the perfect item to provide if you needed someting she had! Her sister Arleen and she had been entering baked goods, jellies, crafts and sewing projects in the Big Fresno Fair for 60 plus years and were featured by Channel 18 public television a few years ago to praise their accomplishments.
Maxine's pride and joy was her grandson Cody L. Easley and his wife and children. Maxine was always there for us all and the special bond she had with Cody completed her life's dream of having a grandchild. He was born soon after she retired and then they shared many years of love and togetherness. Maxine will also be missed come pomegranate season as her jelly was a favorite we all enjoyed. We are glad she made it home as that was her last wish!
Services will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Church as soon as they have finished repairs to their building. We will notify everyone as soon as there is a date.
