Michael Hanz Yepez
1996 - 2022

Michael Hanz Yepez of Fresno was born May 30, 1996 in San Diego, California. He passed away September 2, 2022 at the age of 26.

Michael grew up as a military child while his father served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. Along with his mother Cynthia and his older sister Manè, and younger sister and brother Erin and Brandon, Mikey grew up in different Navy bases to include San Diego, Everett, Washington, El Centro, California, Port Hueneme, California and Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

He graduated high school from Alexandria, Virginia and soon after moving back to Fresno, joined the Army where he served for four years at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Michael was a free-spirited person, who was always loved by those around him. He had a big heart free of judgment.

He was a hero to his six-year-old son Elijah, who meant the world to him.

Mikey will dearly be missed by his father, Carmichael, mother Cynthia, brother, Brandon and sisters Manè and Erin. By Jayla and Elijah and the many friends and family members who knew him.
