Momirka Poznanovich

1927 -2023

Momirka Poznanovich passed away on October 31, 2023, at age 96. Momirka was born in Mokrine, former Yugoslavia and married Ilija Poznanovich in 1958. After marrying, she joined Ilija in New York City to begin her life in America and in 1972 they moved to Fresno, California where she resided the remainder of her life.

Momirka's entire life was dedicated to her beloved family, including her husband Ilija (who predeceased her in 1993), her daughters Nada and Selma and her treasured grandsons Spencer and Trevor. For many years she attended St. Peter the Apostle Serbian Orthodox Church in Fresno, was an active member of the Serbian Mother's Club and had many dear friends there who predeceased her.

Momirka is survived by her children, Selma Poznanovich, Nada (Randy) Barrett, and her grandsons, Spencer Barrett, and Trevor Barrett. Though Momirka will be deeply missed, she will be forever loved and remembered for her generous heart, kind spirit and devotion by her daughters and her grandsons as their beloved "Nana", an integral part of their lives since they were born.
