Obituary

We regretfully announce the passing of Mona Mae Landrith, 87, of Fresno on June 5th, 2024.

Mona Mae Tannehill was born December 31st 1936 to Olin Sheril and Roxie Rae Tannehill in Ocie, Missouri. The family would make their way to California, and settled in Orange Cove, Ca. Mona attended grammar school in Orange Cove and graduated from Reedley High School in 1955. After graduation, Mona married the love of her life whom she met while in grammar school and dated in high school, Donald Gene Landrith.  Soon they set off on numerous adventures together while Donald was serving in the United States Air Force, traveling all the way to England where Donald was stationed. While in England, Mona and Gene welcomed a daughter, Karen Denise in 1957.  A few years later, the family's time in England was over and the family returned to the United States where they continued to travel for the Air Force. Soon after returning stateside, the family of three would become a family of fourwhile stationed in Arizona, welcoming a son, Michael Duane in 1958.

Mona was a free spirit who loved traveling all over the United States and even spent some time traveling in Canada. Mona loved visiting Pismo Beach and would go every chance she could, to walk on the beach, and collect sea shells. What Mona loved more than visiting Pismo, was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and later on her six great grandchildren.

Mona Mae will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing an amazing woman. While we are saddened by the loss of Mona we take comfort in knowing that she had a profound relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has welcomed her with open arms.

Mona was proceeded in death by her parents Olin and Roxie, her husband Donald Gene, and her children Michael and Karen as well as her brothers Dale and Harold Tannehill.

Mona is survived by her grandchildren, Dane Landrith, his wife Liz and two children, Kara (Landrith) Fujkus, her husband Jason and their child, Preston, his wife Christina and their three children, and Nikki (Patterson) Hawn and her husband Jared. She is also survived by her niece Cindy Black and nephews Guy Tannehill and Rocky Tannehill.

Services will be held on June 19th at 10am at Yost and Webb Funeral Home, with burial being at Sanger Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stanford Cancer Research in Mona's name, an organization very close to Mona's heart.
