Nicholas Sanchez Sr.

9-10-1933 – 2-17-2023

On Friday February 17th , we said goodbye to our Dad Nicholas Sanchez, he was 89 years old.

Dad was born in Visalia Ca to Lucy and John Sanchez.

Joined the Army in 1953. He married Sara Gracia, they raised three children. Nick Spike Sanchez Jr, Theresa Lancaster and Mark Sanchez.

Spent most of his working years at Armstrong Tire Company, In Hanford Ca.

Nick was an avid gardener and loved to tamper with projects any chance he could. He spent many years in Roswell NM, where he enjoyed the outdoors and many great friends.

Nick loved his family, where at all the celebrations he was the life of the party, with his big, charming personality. He never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him was ready for some sort of a prank and Dad would never disappoint. He loved his little dog Bella, who stole his heart the day she walked up to his house, one early morning. He was generous, kind and always ready with a helping hand. His favorite thing was to give special nick names, and they would usually stick.

Nick was preceded in death by his eldest son Nick Spike Sanchez Jr.,  his parents and many brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Lancaster; son, Mark Sanchez; brothers, Johnny Sanchez and Larry Sanchez and sister Rosie Hurley.

Dad leaves a long list of family and lifelong friends that love him and will miss him deeply.
