In Loving Memory of Nicklas Wayne Harbison November 6, 1978 – August 1, 2025

Nicklas Wayne Harbison, a truly unique soul with a sharp wit and a heart full of loyalty, passed away on August 1, 2025.

Born on November 6, 1979, Nicklas was a proud graduate of Madera High School, where his love for theater first took center stage. With an undeniable talent for acting, he shined in school productions (most memorably as Tony in You Can't Take It With You). His gift for improvisation and spot-on impersonations, especially his unforgettable Kermit impression, left lasting memories and lots of laughter.

An old soul from the very beginning, Nicklas had a deep appreciation for American history, particularly the Civil War era. Gone With The Wind remained his favorite film, reflecting his thoughtful and reflective nature.

Though he often preferred solitude, those lucky enough to be called his friend knew a version of Nicklas that was fiercely loyal, endlessly supportive, and full of warmth. He didn't offer friendship lightly, but when he did, it was unwavering.

Nicklas was also a devoted son, selflessly putting his family's needs before his own and caring deeply for both of his parents. While his father has passed away, he made sure his Mother was taken care of until his last day.

Those who knew and loved him never questioned how deeply he cared. His love was constant, true, and powerfully felt and it will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him. His quiet strength, sharp intelligence, and unmatched sense of humor will be missed more than words can say.

Nicklas was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Harbison, and his Uncle Don Brindley of Pulaski, Tennessee. He is survived by his loving mother, Sheila Harbison (Haire), and his brother, Benjamin Harbison, Cousin Jennifer Fitchett-Carnley and her children, Sean and Lindsey. Cousin Rochelle Fitchett (Jeff Fitchett) and their daughter Chandler.

A celebration of life will be held on August 30, 2025, 2pm at River Park Place Club House 8070 N. Poplar Ave, Fresno CA 93711.
