Obituary

Patt was a wife, mother & grandmother and a very special lady. She was born on December 31st 1932 to parents,  Mugerdich & Vasil Gahvejian, Fresno CA.  She went to be with the Lord on December 11,2020
Her greatest gift in life was her love for family and friends, lots of friends.
Patt attended Fresno City College.  Soon after she met the man of her dreams, Leonard Potigian. They married on August 6, 1955 and had three sons, Daniel, Thomas and David.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and would always be the life of the party.
Patt was a big part of the Ladies Society at St. Gregory's Church and sang in the church choir for many years.  She sang every day, sometimes in the middle of the night, with her hands waving like a conductor, up to the last two weeks of her life. She always had a smile on her face and never complained.
Patt & Leonard loved to travel & go on cruises all over the world with friend, enjoying the food & sites.  She was very talented, playing the piano by memory, never having had a single lesson.
They vacationed annually in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, with their Chris-Craft boat named, "MISS PATT".
One year, while vacationing in Lake Tahoe, with their three sons, they drove to a famous gold mining ghost town, of Virginia City.  Patt went into the old church, sat down, and begin playing the pipe organ, without anyone's permission. Everyone could hear her playing throughout the entire town of Virginia City.  That is the type of person Patt was, spontaneous & fearless & fun.
Leonard & Patt operated Potigian Transfer trucking company which was first started by George Potigian, and became one of Fresno's oldest running businesses.
Patt is survived by her sons, Daniel & wife Jeannie, Dr. Thomas & wife Mary, David & wife Liliana.  She has three grandchildren, Perri, Dean, Zeph.  Sister Armen Boghosian and brother John Gahvejian survived Patsy.
Patt was preceeded in death by her husband Leonard Potigian, sisters Sirun Esajian, Claire Krikorian, Helen Minasian.
The family would like to thank Marina Voskanyan and her family for giving our mother such loving and wonderful care for 8 years.
