Paul Dominic
Mendoza, Sr
May 1, 1969 – June 17, 2023
Paul Dominic Mendoza Sr.
1969 -2023
Paul Dominic Mendoza Sr., passed away on June 17th, 2023 at Fresno Community Hospital surrounded by his children, ex-wife, sister, his brother-in-law and loved ones. He was 54 years old.
He was born in Fresno, California on May 1, 1969; he was the youngest and third child of Armida Jane Mendoza and Paul John Mendoza.
He was a true sports fan and loved all sports from; hockey, football, basketball, soccer, boxing, golf, tennis, and he even watched all of the Olympic sports. His favorite teams were the RAMS and LAKERS. When he was a child he played soccer, baseball, and ice hockey, and in one of his soccer games he kicked the ball from mid field and won them the game. I was told it was an astonishing site to see. He loved old school classic cars like his, '78 Lincoln Continental, and a '64 Chevy Pick Up.
While growing up in Fresno, Ca, he met the love of his life Suzanne in 1988 from a mutual friend that introduced them. They dated for a few years before getting married in April of 1992, and at the end of June that year he delivered their first child Britney himself right before they entered the elevator. They eventually moved to San Jose, and two years later they welcomed their baby boy Paul Jr. to the family. After his birth they moved to Utah where Paul became a tile worker and owned two tile companies.
He later returned back to Fresno where he continued the rest of his life. Years later during Covid he welcomed his first grandson and was known as his "Papa". Paul loved and cherished his grandson dearly who he called his "Lil One" and would always say, "He has them curls. Curls for the girls".
Paul will be truly missed by many friends and family. He was a man that did not ever want to see anyone hurt, and he'd give you either the last dollar he had or the shirt off his back. Our dad lived life the way he wanted to, and that was to the fullest. He was authentically him.
Paul is survived by his children, Britney Mendoza, Paul Mendoza Jr., his ex wife Suzanne "aka his Pookie Bear", his sister Dawn McCullough, his brother Sean Mendoza, two nephews, two nieces, one great nephew, one great niece, and one grandson who will always miss his Papa.
"We love you dad and you are truly missed,
until we all meet again.
See you later alligator".
