Peggy Lou Williams Harland

Born to Fred and Bessie Williams in McCamey, Texas on March 3, 1931 while our parents were visiting our Mother's sister.

One of 4 children – she grew up on a farm in the Tulare countryside with her sisters Mary and Connie and her brother Norman.

She graduated from High School in 1949 and worked in retail stores until her marriage to Bob Harland Aug. 25, 1951.

When her children were older, she worked at Fresno County Hospital. Our sister Mary was a nurse there and these years working at the same hospital was very special for both. After retiring she and Bob had some time for some traveling, including the East Coast and Alaska. Bob passed away in 2019. They were married for 67 years.

Peggy was a long time member of peoples Church active until a few years ago when she no longer was able to attend in person, however faithful friends from Peoples Church visited her.

Peggy is survived by her 2 children, Peggy Ann Mele, her son Robert Fred Harland, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great Grandchildren. Her sister and brother in law, Connie and Mac McBride, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
