Rebeca Flores
Juarez
May 5, 1935 – July 17, 2024
Rebeca Flores Juarez, age 89 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the home of her youngest daughter Rebecca "Becky" Najar and her husband Federico Najar.
She came to the world on May 5, 1935, in Santa Rosa, Al Centro in Moyahua, Zacatecas, Mexico to parents Silvestre Flores and Maria Carmen Ortiz. While growing up as a young child to young adult, her family referred to her as "Rebe".
Rebeca was a devout Catholic, had a strong faith in God, and dedicated her whole life to raising her four daughters along with her husband Bernardino who has since gone to be with the Lord. Her daughters loved her tremendously and would call her "Mami". She had many talents which includes cooking (many delicious Mexican dishes), making aprons, quilts, and curtains for her home. Rebeca clearly had a green thumb which could be seen in the front and back yard with her beautiful red and white roses and pink flowers all around her yard. She enjoyed spending time in her garden early in the morning, but she also enjoyed feeding the birds who landed in her yard. She would often tell us to save our unused bread for the birds. She once said as she looked towards the back door, while inside her home, that her flowers were waving at her. She also loved to watch her novelas.
Rebeca is survived by her four daughters; Flora and her husband Frank Carillo, Carmen and her husband Jose Montano, Lupe and her husband John Taylor and Becky and her husband Federico Najar along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her family greatly mourns the loss of Rebeca's physical presence but know that she is now in a better place in the presence of our Heavenly Father. She is now reunited with her husband Bernardino, who she missed greatly as well as her parents and siblings.
Her family will carry her love and sweet memories in their hearts until they reunite with her one day in God's house.
May you rest in peace Mami, until we meet again.
